Cats out of the bag then. So yeah, I am One Piece Anime fan. And before you go all this and that by just reading the title of the page, please do read what I have to say. I am not saying that One Piece is the only best anime out there but it is undoubtedly one of the best. Let’s see what makes One Piece so good that fans all around the world are crazy about it:
1. One Piece has best storyline and character development
For one of the longest anime series, to maintain and grow the fan base, most important thing is storyline. You can’t just elongate something without some good backstory to it. One Piece storyline started out with a young boy Monkey D Luffy sailing out to be Pirate King. For those who watch the One Piece anime or read manga, they know what big deal it is. So, the story either ends when he finds One Piece making him Pirate King or after he learns the truth about One Piece. As simple as this sounds, the world in One Piece requires a lot of exploring and there is collection of crews, meeting his enemies, overcoming hurdles and all. The story never fails to keep the hype up. Even the latest arc has been going on forever and fans have been waiting to see Luffy beat Kaido up. But the story doesn’t just focus on main protagonist. It shows how he have grown over the years with pain and pleasure and how developed everyone around him is. Not only he has powered up but everyone has developed. So, with time as story progresses, all the characters are growing up and here it is not just one or ten characters but the whole One Piece World. That makes it unique that no one is left behind and shows there is always room for character’s shift in power or knowledge. Which makes watching it more fun. Heck even the animation team have grown a lot looking from past to till.
2. One Piece has number of mysteries and surprises
Now and then you might see videos and pictures or contents about controversies of One Piece. There is always something more to see and expect. There are number of mysteries from Void Century to powers of Elders or who truly rules all of them and many more. With uncertainty that these mysteries can open anytime sooner or later, fans are always on their toes. This is what captures and holds the viewers. Like recent arc revealed certain mysteries about Pirate King Gol D. Roger and his crew and Wano Kingdom and all. That was a hyped moment and one of the best moments in my life getting to know it. So, there are more than enough mysteries which are to be revealed and are still added keeping the fan bases on toes and always growing. Most just watch to know how those mysteries will unfold. Some watch to see Luffy be pirate king, some watch to learn about void century, and some to just see Zoro become world’s greatest swordsman. I am waiting for Zoro to reveal what power he has in his eye. So, One Piece gives fans worldwide various reasons to watch keeping them entangled in mysteries which is fun and entertaining. 3. Action and adventure sequences, supernatural abilities and diversification
First is the action and adventure sequences. And like any other good anime, the action and adventure part are quite good. With improved animation and great visuals, recent episodes are more entertaining to watch as well. Considering when this anime started, the design of fight sequences and scenes is great. But what actually best is the planning of the adventure. As a pirate, we are taken into the journey of a world. From desert land to snow-capped lands, from underwater kingdom to sky island and much more. It nearly represents some old fairy tales with all the best landmarks. This diversification shows a whole open world as big as our real world. This makes watching the anime more adventurous. By maintaining the individuality of each place with unique inhabitants and their story makes One Piece world amazing. This is an important one and what most of the people don’t notice about One Piece.
One Piece is all about abilities or more like supernatural abilities. Either it be Haki or just another devil fruit ability, One Piece is all about power and fight to be on top. With each character having separate Devil Fruits with separate powers and all, this anime has so many characters it almost feels too real. Despite having so many characters each character in play almost has their backstory, powers and abilities explained. It’s just amazing and praise worthy how vast the One Piece world actually is.
4. Movies to support the non-stop series
Another great aspect is it does not stop. There is barely any bigger gaps or seasons in One Piece. It is running continuously. There is no halt at all. So, you get new episodes every week non-stop (sometimes more than a week but not next year). Along with the regular series, we get mind blowing movies. The movies all take place at the same time the series is running which makes it look like a part of the continuous series as well. Even Manga and anime videos are posted weekly and if they miss it sometimes then fans know something great is coming up and they never disappoint. It always delivers as promised and surprises every episode.
5. Connecting to real world and emotions
This is not something new and almost every anime focuses on viewers emotion. That is how they know what to post. One Piece has its own unique way to connecting to masses. It sends messages and life lessons pointing out how far one has to go to fulfil their dreams. One Piece teaches us about freedom, loyalty and mostly about friendship. Since everyone is looking for making friends and having adventures with them, One Piece focuses on that aspect and uses it to connect with the fans. Well, it does make people wanna become a rubber man and go out on Pirate Adventure but also explains about dreams that comes with prices. Family and friends, love and hatred, loyalty and betrayal are all aspects that One Piece targets and makes a connection with. That is most inspiring factor of One Piece and one of my best aspects for watching it.
Well for a grown man to write something in depth about anime might seem stupid but I find them quite amusing. They are similar to any series we watch on Netflix and Disney but with a lot more freedom in creativity. There are lot of lessons to be learnt from watching anime and have fun. This is all but a means of entertainment and is a great source of fun and topic to discuss. Hope you guys enjoy anime and One Piece as much as I do.
